- Involved in different aspects of the design process, including part geometry development, assembly design, and drawing creation. Handles tasks ranging from new product development to enhancements and cost reduction efforts. Distributes engineering data through Engineering Change Notices, bills of material, and parts tracking. - Attends team meetings utilizing the product delivery system for major product launches. (10%)
- Generates new product concepts based on Project Charters, Specification Matrices, and other sources like competitor analysis. Ensures compatibility with standard manufacturing methods. (15%)
- Contributes to process improvement initiatives and related research. Supports ABS/Lean Transformation efforts and post-Kaizen activities. (10%)
- Coordinates test and prototyping requests, liaising with testing groups and model shops. Reviews functional specifications, project charters, and competitor samples.
- Proficient in 3D CAD, MS Office, etc.
- Capable of effective verbal and written communication, as well as conveying ideas through sketches and engineering drawings.
- Works adeptly in cross-functional team settings.
- Understanding of manufacturing methods like stamping, drawing, casting, and extruding of metals and plastics.
- Leadership skills to influence team members to meet new product development objectives efficiently.
- Familiarity with UL and UL testing processes is beneficial.

Job Summary
Seeking an individual to oversee product development from concept to production, encompassing new product creation, ongoing maintenance, and resolution of field issues. Responsible for leading electro-mechanical product design, part assembly, and detailed drawings. Manages prototyping, testing, sample assembly, and various product design/development projects. Must collaborate effectively with all members of the design team.
