System Engineer Team Leader:

Location: Ramos Arizpe, MX, CP Country/Region: MX

System Engineer Team Leader:

This position is globally responsible for identifying and sharing inside KA the North American market and regulatory requirements.

The System Engineer Team Leader is a key team player and will complete engineering tasks as well as organize, support, and drive accountability to the System Engineering team in Ramos Arizpe.

This position is a in a highly motivated team and will report directly to the Engineering Manager FCS Americas.

Responsibilities:

Technical support to Customers (may require travel), Technical support to local & Global Program Managers and Sales, Identify & evaluate system and components opportunities at the customer, Create and propose product & systems solutions to customers,Execute trial installations on customer vehicles of KA Products and Systems proposals, Lead development and validation of Vehicle/System Design Specifications incorporating company, industry, and regulatory standards, test procedures, and material specifications, Organize Technical workshops with Customer R&D teams to show future Systems & Products, Partner with Customer R&D teams to understand their product strategies, new vehicles & system development plans, Support KA R&D and Programs with an overview of Customer needs and requirements for future product developments, Provide a technical gap road map by conducting competition evaluation and benchmarking.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering (other Engineering disciplines can be considered)
Minimum of 3 years' experience in Product Design Engineering and or in Product validation testing and or System engineering
Background in Automotive Engineering or Experience in Commercial vehicle systems
Good working knowledge of computer systems; MS Office, MS Projects, MRP
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Knowledge in the APQP process
Business level knowledge of spoken and written English
Knowledge in CAD NX or equivalent 3D modeling software and PLM software.

Experience:

Experience leading teams of Engineering professionals
Electromechanical & control systems engineering experience.
Basic understanding of vehicle pneumatic and fluid systems
Ability to produce basic engineering drawings.
LEAN principles/Business Improvement Techniques
Prior mechanism assembly design experience
Additional foreign language knowledge or skills is an advantage.
