About the Role:


As a Claims Advocate, you will investigate, handle, and review incidents to submit claims to our Insurance partners that occur throughout the region in connection with the Uber app.

You will also work in collaboration with our cross-functional teams with a focus on timely routing and escalation of high severity claims.


What You'll Do:


  • Investigate and submit claims to insurance carriers by reviewing first notice of loss and supporting materials to accurately identify insurance exposure and resolve applicable insurance policy
  • Demonstrate critical thinking while adhering to Uber established claims processes.
  • Accurately respond to inquiries received from carriers and other third parties
  • Demonstrate #Tripobsession and solid understanding of Uber's insurance policies when presenting with all partners
  • Utilize strong written/electronic communication. Primary method of communication in the role is electronic.
  • Participate in process efficiency projects (local/international scope)

What You'll Need:


  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of Auto insurance coverages
  • 2+ years of auto claims management experience Or 1+ year bodily injury adjusting experience
  • Outstanding attention to detail
  • Proficiency with various computer operating systems
  • Experience with bodily injury claims handling experience with a major insurance carrier
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills
  • English proficiency is highly vital
  • Ability to maintain quality in a fastpaced, high volume environment
  • High degree of adaptability to meet changing business needs
  • Proficient in multitasking through various technology platforms
  • Compromises when vital in order to help the team achieve goals
  • Demonstrated ability to enhance business process in the claims environment with a high degree of complexity
