locationPosition Summary:

Automation Manager is responsible for all the activities of the control department that are necessary for the fulfillment of the projects in the quality, costs and planned times.
In this role you will succeed by:
Provide support for the elaboration of quotes, estimating working hours and diagrams.
Ensure constant and continuous designs, engineering and practices among control engineers through a list of activities assigned to the department.
Ensure the reuse of existing designs, engineering and standards.
Meet the requirements of all controls engineering budgets.
Ensure complete design and/or coordination of the design package for approval and release including release drawings, BOM's, assembly instructions for all engineering and system details as directed by the project manager.
Identification of key items for the development of the projects, making sure that the client releases them before the final engineering and that the purchase order is placed by FIVES.
Support to the personnel of the manufacturing area.
Support to review and update the progress of the project.
Support for customer service.

Support in all activities during the installation phase of the system/equipment and startup.

Collaborate with the FIVES clients, members and officers to ensure that FIVES achieves final client acceptance as required.
Communicate openly with the client, FIVES management and the organization to ensure that FIVES achieves final client acceptance as required, in meetings with clients to assess and revise acceptance status of facilities and equipment as necessary.
Gather information pertaining to equipment operation, and ensure validation and closure specifications that have been completed, satisfied and documented, through acceptance letters and service reports.
Maintain accurate project files on modifications made to equipment in the field, and submit all files to appropriate engineers for review.

Identify training opportunities.

Find the necessary resources internally or externally for the fulfillment of the projects assigned to meet the budget and design engineering time.
Develop and encourage the department practical ways to continually improve the department and the services offered to clients.
Identify potential opportunities for improvement to the team.

Education and Experiences:

Education & Experience:
8+ years similar position in the automotive industry.
8+ years in equipment/systems, hardware drawings and hardware components.
Bachelor's degree as Electromechanical Engineer or related field preferably.
PLC (SIEMENS, TIA PORTAL, STEEPLECHASE, RS LOGIX 500, 5000).
Vision Systems (Cognex, Keyence).
HMI (FACTORY TALK, RS VIEW, WIN CC).
Elaboration, modification and interpretation of electrical drawings (AutoCAD).
Robots (FANUC, ABB).
Instrumentation.
Torque tools and strategies (BOSCH, Atlas Copco).
Knowledge of STANDARDS.
Movement control SIEMENS, ALLEN BRADLEY, etc.
Technical English.
Troubleshooting.
Verbal and written communication.
Teamwork.
Intermediate user of MS Office, MS Project and ERP.
Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills.
Optional requirements:
Master's degree in engineering or related preferably.
