JOB DESCRIPTION:


Position Summary:

Manage the internal VDA audits program of the Plant Quality System

Responsible for the maintenance of the Plants quality assurance manual and quality procedures.

Manage and coordinate Product Safety Initiatives (PSA) and Audits for Mexico Operations.


Essential Functions:


  • Write / implement document control procedures
  • Coordinate changes on quality assurance manual and group procedures
  • Schedules, directs and participates in internal audits programs of VDA
  • Coordinate the External Audits to the Quality Management System
  • Coordinate the Management Review
  • Support and assist engineering department on all product transfer and new launches
  • Capable to respond with structured problems solving method to internal and external complaints
  • Drive the "Product Safety" initiatives and coordinate the implementation in Mexico Operations.
  • Communicate and Support PSA activities and procedures with team members
  • Knows and communicates the need for product safety.
  • Support PSA Activities and procedures with team members
  • Perform all those activities that by the nature of the position are required.

Management & Supervisory Responsibilities:

Knowledge:


  • In depth knowledge of VDA process audit, core tools APQP/PPAP/MSA/SPC/FMEA/Control Plan, C/C's, S/C's and quality assurance principles
  • VDA knowledge
  • Product Safety Exposure (preferred)
  • Blue Print Interpretation and GD&T (preferred).
  • Air Brake Product and Process Knowledge (preferred)

Experience:


  • Experience as responsible of the VDA process and followup (3 yrs)

  • Certified Lead Auditor on VDA (preferred)
  • Green Belt (preferred)
