    The Sr.

    Manager leads strategy development to ensure the achievement of site EHS&S, compliance, financial, employee and customer fulfilment deliverables consistent with SBU and SABIC manufacturing goals and adapts to new strategy.

    The incumbent is responsible for ensuring the facility operates within corporate policies and procedures and that all Federal, State and Local Laws are obeyed in the area of safety, labor, environmental reporting, etc.

    The senior manager also coordinates the interaction with on-site departments not within the manufacturing group such as customer service, R&D, technical service, sales and finance.

    This interaction varies from site to site.

    Nature and Scope The senior manager reports to Sr Manager, Manufacturing AMR .


    Reporting to this position are:

    EHSS Manager, Process & Engineering Manager, Quality Manager and Production Manger The incumbent is responsible for all facets of the operation of the site with the goal of zero-injury operation producing acceptable quality product at maximum productivity and minimal cost while meeting the delivery requirements of our customers.

    The incumbent also is expected to contribute to developing an overall manufacturing strategy that satisfies the needs of the business.

    Managing all the activities of the various plant departments is the primary activity of this position.

    This includes preparing and managing the capital and expense budgets, reviewing production quality issues, maintaining low inventory levels, supporting corporate quality registrations, maintaining a safe working environment and an active safety program, meeting all applicable regulations and enforcing corporate policy and procedures.

    This position also is responsible for developing the professional skills of the management staff, including writing goals and annual reviews.

    The incumbent also must maintain a good working relationship with wage roll employees and proactively avoid any labor problems at the site.

    This position requires a minimum of a BS technical or business degree, minimum of 10 years' experience in Manufacturing chemicals/plastics or closely related petrochemicals industry, excellent interpersonal skills, computer skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills and project management skills.

    A basic knowledge of product characteristics and processing techniques is required.

    Familiarity with accounting principles, labor laws, materials management principles, quality control procedures and engineering principles are advantageous in this position.

    • Accountable for environmental, health, safety and environmental performance of the SHPP Manufacturing San Luis Potosi, Mexico facility.
    • Accountable for delivery of required production within budget with good quality and delivery performance.
    • Accountable for compliance to local and SABIC regulations.
    • Accountable for development of strategic plan to meet business goals and successive implementation, including capital improvements.
    • Exercises financial authority within established limits and controls departmental budget expenditure (including raw material usage and cost, maintenance and services, manpower and P&E. Section V. Authorities Financial authority within established limits and controls departmental budget expenditure Lead Quality Steering Committee.
