    Job Description:

    We are seeking a dynamic individual to join the DCAI's Cloud Engineering Hardware (CE-HW) team as an Analog Power Engineer (Power Delivery/Integrity).

    This individual will be part of a larger a cross functional Architecture/Engineering team (i.e., Board/System Arch and Design, Thermal/Mechanical, FW, BIOS, PnP, etc.) responsible for Co-Engineering Cloud Reference Design Systems with strategic Cloud Service Providers (CSPs).

    Additionally, this person will be a contributor in CE-HW's Electrical and System Center of Excellence (CoE) - defining/driving/bringing to market new platform level innovations and solutions that: Proactively addresses platform, system, board, and component level issues our CSPs face.

    Integrate Intel's Adjacent Technologies/Solutions/Ingredients/Innovations.
    Drive new Platform/HW innovations that push next level performance and innovation within the CSPs environment.

    Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

    Architect, design, and analyze the power subsystem ensuring the system meets both internal and external requirements (system, board, and component level) and is optimized for the Cloud (internal reference platforms and/or Co-Engineered CSP platforms).Actively participate in the system and board level floor planning, having a holistic view beyond the Power/VR domain (SI, T/M, PnP, Test and Val, etc) ensuring the platform can meet all requirements and is cost optimized.

    Be the voice of Intel with our US based CSP customers in a Co-Engineering role; co-architecting/designing the power subsystem, addressing issues (Root Cause/Corrective Action), and influencing the technical direction of the program.

    Collaborate with various engineering disciplines (i.e. Thermal, Mechanical, Analog, FW, BIOS, SW, Validation, PnP) throughout the Arch, Design, and Validation phases.

    Driving a high performing/quality platform to MP (mass production).Create new Platform/Electrical innovations that enable increased performance, remote debug, telemetry on Intel solutions.

    Work with internal stakeholders to be the CSP voice/feedback loop to the greater Intel (i.e., Influence future products, improve current and future PDGs, CSP challenges and roadblocks, etc.).Analyze electrical test/validation data and correlate to internal data on internal RPs, determine opportunities for optimizations.

    Qualifications:


    Minimum Education Qualifications, Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position: The candidate must have a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related STEM field.


    • 5 or more years of experience in:

    Power electronics (VR/FET), electromagnetics, and analog design (Power Delivery, Power Integrity).Power Conversion, VRs, MOSFETs, DC/DC Converters, Board Stackup/Cu plane topologies, via structures.

    Schematic capture, PCB layout, and typical lab tools.
    Simulation/Modeling Tools such as SPICE, PowerDC, Power SI, etc.
    Advanced English level.

    Preferred Qualifications, Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates:

    Master of Science degree with 3+ years of industry experience, or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.

    Experience working with the VR14 specification.
