This role is for an engineering manager in the Datacenter Platform Integration and Validation Team.

The role will require skills in people management, stakeholder management; plus technical expertise in system validation.

The role will also requires solid time management and logistics skills to handle periodic validation cycles and their releases, establishing the cadence for the team and provide appropriate direction and communication.


Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • As a manager, set priorities for the team, get results across boundaries, ensure an inclusive work environment, develop employees, and manage performance.
  • Plans, provide scope and target for resources and direct activities in engineering functions to meet schedules, standards, and cost.
  • Cultivates and reinforces appropriate group values, norms and behaviors.
  • Identifies and analyzes problems, plans, tasks, and solutions.
  • Provides guidance on employee development, performance, and productivity issues.
  • Plans and schedules daily tasks, uses judgement on a variety of problems requiring deviation from standard practices.

Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications,
Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position:

  • 5+ years of experience in engineering technical work in a mix of technical work, program management and management.
  • 2+ years of experience being part of testing teams in production line or lab environment.
  • 2+ years of experience across the product life cycle including development and validation.
  • 1+ years understanding of platform architecture, OS and system level validation.
  • Advanced English level.

Preferred Qualifications,

  • Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field is preferred.
  • 1+ years participating within validation teams for any of the following system level domains: Network, Security, Memory or IO.
  • 2+ years of experience in leading technical teams in data center / server products.
  • Background in system level validation.
  • Background in 5G and Edge solutions.
  • Understanding of devOps CI/CD.
Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
