What are the key objectives and expectations from this role?
Work as a business partner for the Canada RGM Team, by providing key commercial insights, thus assisting in ensuring that the end market growth activities supply to the financial success and effective prioritization decisions are made across the value chain


This role, along with RGM Pricing Strategy team, will handle pricing and promotion optimizations, leading to account level analysis, such as predictive analytics and post implementation results, while working in a cross functional way with Trade, SP&I Brand Marketing and Finance.

This role will support the RGM analytics projects; ensure activity design aligns with RGM, retailer and trade marketing strategy and provide oversight to ensure quality of execution.


WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

  • Run, maintain, augment, and improve the company's existing price and trade planning systems.
  • Ownership, investigation, and resolution of exceptions/fails/breaks raised by customers, ensuring the integrity of the data.
  • Monthly production of reporting and budget tracking analyses.
  • Run and implement an array of approaches and modeling, including return on investment modeling and scenario planning.
  • Support the team on driving Process simplification.
  • Implementation of financial controls.
  • Leverage vast datasets of shipments, pricing, retail offtake, and transactionlevel data to develop critical business intelligence and insights, with a specific focus on promotions and their performance.
  • Collaborate with other Strategy, Retail Planning, Commercial Finance, Trade, and Consumer Marketing associates to ensure an aligned annual operating plan with appropriate revenue, margin, and share objectives.

Essential experience, skills and knowledge

  • 2 to 5 years of experience modeling, analyzing, and interpreting large data sets to develop insights and to formulate recommendations.
  • Consistent record of problemsolving using data and building models and performance tools.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate key takeaways through impactful storytelling.
  • Curious, selfstarter that gets results in a dynamic environment and acts with appropriate vitality.
  • Critical thinking and creative problemsolving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills supporting translating insights into significant recommendations.
  • Leads large projects or processes with limited oversight from manager.

Beneficial

  • Experience in consumer goods strongly preferred.
  • Experience analyzing sales and promotion data.
