Scope/Purpose of Position:
This role is suitable for a highly dynamic, results driven and creative individual. Responsible for raising Air Canada's profile and growing revenue from a portfolio of developing markets. Strong influencing and negotiating skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
Key Functions and Accountabilities
- Maximize revenue/cost performance across assigned territory that includes Online developing and offline potential markets in line with Company objectives.
- Lead GSA/Representative strategy and management and oversee execution of local market business plans within assigned territory, including liaison with Headquarter branches.
- Execute commercial strategy with GSA partners sales and service organizations to meet objectives.
- Manage GSA selection process, including RFPs, and GSA terminations.
- Manage setup, implementation and ongoing development of GSAs and staff to Air Canada standards.
- Execute GSA contract reviews and audits to SLA/targets independently or in cooperation with Air Canada Internal Stakeholders.
- Define and execute commercial strategy on nonmanaged markets by developing products relevant for these territories.
- Lead oneFACE strategy and expansion in targeted markets and develop and evaluate KPIs for oneFACE territories and ensure compliance through regular meetings with leading carrier in the region and report back to AC Management.
- Ensure AC brand representation across oneFACE territories is consistent with AC Flight Path.
- Develop new opportunities/programs to increase awareness of Air Canada's products.
- Maintain relationships with key customers and industry partners in managed territory.
- Be continually aware of the positioning and marketplace activities of competitors.
- Cooperate with Finance on GSA reporting, payments, cash management and mitigation planning in designated territory.
- Manage selected Offline Development Management projects with Headquarters.
- Support the Manager with any additional activities and projects as required.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years Sales/Account Management experience in the airline industry.
- Conversant with industry reservations, fares and ticketing systems.
- High calibre consultative, solutions orientated selling abilities.
- Strong entrepreneurship to initiate and develop new business independently and on a team basis.
- Financial acumen and mix of business management and communication skills.
- Cultural insight and awareness.
- Functional knowledge of MS Office suite.
- Flexibility for significant amount of independent foreign travel.
- Knowledge of Joint Venture commercial and contracting programs would be an advantage
- Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills in Spanish and English. French will be a plus.
- In depth knowledge of AC product, services and brand.
