SUMMARY:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:

Design and develop electromechanical products for Electrical Power Systems.
Provide detailed documentation, instructions, drawings, or specifications to communicate wiring, assembly, testing, modification, maintenance, or usage of devices, parts, and equipment.
Assist with technical submittals, approvals, concepts, and engineering technical packages, also known as Hand Off Package
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computergenerated reports.
Use CAD design software like Solidworks/AutoCAD to create 3D models, drawings, and schematics for products based on customer specifications.
Respond to departmental requests for modifications or enhancements of existing products in a safe and costeffective manner.
Provide technical customer service both internally and externally.
Design new products, equipment, or systems considering cost, material availability, strength, maintenance requirements, appearance, and impact on users and the environment.
Create Bills of Materials (BOMs) and Item numbers in ERP system(s) using existing defined process.
Participate in the implementation of a new ERP system from the Engineering perspective and provide feedback on industry best practices.
Travel to the site in Corona, CA, USA, and field locations in Mexico, as needed, to solve engineeringrelated problems.
Acquire customer insights, needs, and wants via personal observations, informal feedback, analysis of internal data and secondary information, and formal marketing research tools.
Articulate and preserve the company's core competencies and values while identifying business building opportunities that strengthen and leverage these.
Match customer requirements to proposed standard or customized solutions successfully.
Support the Application Engineering Team in determining the scope of supply from project drawing and specifications.
Communicate all technical aspects of Pre-Sale and Post-Sale communications to the Application Engineering team and Commercial Operations team from the electrical design perspectives.
Confirm system and product specifications by designing feasibility and testing methods.
Evaluate testing methods to ensure system and product quality, test finished products and system capabilities, and confirm fabrication, assembly, and installation processes.
Conduct engineering design evaluations or peer reviews for presale and postsale DWG designs and packages.
Conduct research for systemrelated information as directed.
Participate in design reviews, technical meetings, and briefings.
Identify potential risks and appropriate courses of action should technical issues arise, or user requirements change.
Abide by all rules and regulations set forth in the employee handbook.
Be familiar with electro design in relation to UL requirements.
Become the electrical and electronics technical resource in all product offerings.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Demonstrated professional experience as an Electrical Electronics Engineer.
At least 3 years of technical experience working with electronics, electrical power equipment.
At least 3 years of experience working with electrical regulatory agencies and NRTL (cUL, ETL, NEC, DOE, CSA, IEC, etc.)
Effective collaboration skills with internal and external resources at all levels, including an attitude of receptiveness to feedback, an eagerness to listen and learn from others, and a willingness to share sound management, business, or analytical perspectives to enhance the knowledge and skills of others.
At least 3 years of experience using AutoCAD or Solidworks Electrical, with experience in Solidworks 3D modeling preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication, persuasion, and presentation skills in English.
Strong personal and professional alignment with core values, including ownership, accountability, adaptability, continuous improvement, and excellence in customer service.
Ability to drive and willingness to travel both nationally in Mexico and internationally in the USA.
Proven ability to build strong, enduring relationships with members of the management team.
