Business Operations Analyst - Global Trade Portals Compliance

This role has been designated as 'Edge', which means you will primarily work outside of an HPE office.

In the Finance division, our reporting and controlling teams are working on tasks like asset management, financial integration of mergers and acquisitions, as well as USGAAP-reporting.


How you'll make your mark:


  • Responsible to screen the HPE transactions, analyzing the requirements of Global Trade according to the Government laws among the world. Screening Analyst for Global Trade for Portals
  • Be ready to join a fast transaction and process decision making oriented environment, maintaining positive assessment results, with this includes evidenced based audit trail in SAP & SharePoint systems
  • Serve as a screener in COT (Compliance Operation Team) for Restricted Party List (RPL) in AMS for RPL hits from HPE portals, following decision making to (1) whether it is a real match or (2) the steps required to approve/clear the RPL hit.
  • Serve as a screener for Non-Proliferation Screening (NPS) in AMS for hits from HPE portals, following decision making to approve access and/or download.
  • Serve as a screener for U.S. Export License in AMS for Portals responsible to identify when a U.S. export license may be required for a download, following decision making to follow established steps to identify (1) whether approved, (2) export license required (ENC, ELA, IVL)
  • This person will perform proactive screening for U.S Export License in AMS for Portals and report results in online tools (e.g. SharePoint).
  • This person will be part of the COT for portals during the AMS time zones. They will recognize and work with their peers in AMS and sharing and receiving of information, with peers in APJ time zones.
  • Expectations are that this individual will support all screening types associated with HPE portals, and communicate discrepancies, variances with fact based details.
  • The portal environment is an online environment and requires close partnership and fast response times to close inquiries from COT. Strict start times are to be adhered and followed.
  • This is an Edge position expectation that the individual is in the office collaborating F2F with COT, Supervisor, and other GT team members, at minimum 12 days per week and in alignment with the company rules/changes.
  • This is a position that requires working on weekends, afternoon hours. To work within local law hour requirements.
  • This is a position that requires attendance of weekly training and management & organizational led meetings.
  • Experience in using Excel, including calculation and reporting skills, including written bulletized summary of daily work activities, including count, as requested.
  • Reviews performance metrics on a regular basis, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Communicates requirements and guidelines to the regional and global business unit planning teams.
  • Work with other GT teams, Business Partners and/or IT teams to resolve issues, including actively participation in war rooms and escalation paths.

About you:


  • First level university degree or equivalent experience
  • 24 years of experience in a supply chain function. Or demonstrated
    understanding of supply chain processes (plan, source, make deliver).
  • Requires acknowledge and understanding about import and export regulations.
  • Attention to detail, close follow up
  • Excellent Analytical skills
