The Role:


Sales Order Team Leader has a critical role to play in that business change and is required to present good leadership skills as well as solid operational understanding of activities in a customer invoicing process in order to build and lead a high performing and engaged team located in Mexico.


Key Accountabilities:


A central Sales Order team in finance operations department will support the timely & accurate customer invoicing and a proper revenue recognition in AMS accounting ledger.

The role will directly manage sales order specialist and coordinators.


Key Responsibilities

  • Building and leading the local team of 410 Sales Order specialists in Mexico
  • Ensuring high team morale and performance in a rightsized team
  • Supporting Sales Order Manager and be a point of escalation for Sales Order team
  • Embedding a continuous improvement mindset and leading CI initiatives to improve quality, efficiency and to reduce the workload level seasonality (e.g. during month end)
  • Contributing to an efficient risk management environment and implementing and maintaining the suitable internal controls
  • Quality Management including building and maintaining knowledge base and supporting the personal development
  • Building a strong backup structure that allows proper workload allocation and reduces the operational pressure
  • Holiday planning for the team to avoid high planned absenteeism and reduces the risk during adhoc absences or during high workload season
  • Team performance management including regular KPI reporting and individual conversations
  • Understanding the operational activities and ability to support or own processes run by Sales Order team
  • Translating the departmental objectives into individuals' goals
  • Building partnership with stakeholders in Finance, CST and Delivery

Skills & Experience:


Critical Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Ability to lead the high performing and engaged team
  • Crossfunctional knowledge to understand how the sales order activities impact the profitability, accounting, cash management, local reporting needs
  • Proficiency in extracting, analysing and summarising the numerical transactional data, including experience in data analysis in MS Excel
  • Ability to understand the contractual terms impacting the value and timeline of customer invoicing
  • Ability to recommend and justify operational changes with reference to other teams' business needs
  • Good understanding of services offered by AMS
  • Continuous improvement mindset

Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Project management and change management experience
  • Experience in customer invoicing in a multinational environment
  • Performance management experience
  • Experience in using ATS, Decisions or MS D36
  • Experience in working with senior leadership team
  • Risk management and quality management experience
