Work Schedule:


This position is
full-time and
hybrid Monday through Friday from
8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with an hour break, but flexibility is available based on coverage.

Purpose of Your Work:


As a
Manager - Freight Claims,
you will oversee a team of dedicated claims representatives that are responsible for processing freight claims for our clients.

In this role you will need strong leadership skills and will be responsible for managing a team of employees engaged in critical activities for our business, including:
the audit, presentation, resolution, and mitigation of claims.


How You Make a Difference Everyday:

  • Manage a team of 5+ direct reports
  • Supervise and hold responsibility for all the claims activities for Managed Services' customers
  • Ensures timely filing of claims filed by Redwood or our clients
  • Ensures audit claim information is accurate for data integrity and timeline measurements of the claim filing
  • Ensures accurate audit of required documents to support resolution of the claim
  • Identify and resolve issues related to the filling of the claim
  • Identify and strengthen relationships with carrier claims departments to improve receipt, review, and resolution processes with each carrier
  • Identify and resolve claim resolution issues
  • Manage identification, reporting, and resolution of claim filling issues with incorrect or incomplete claim filing information from our clients
  • Identify and resolve highvalue claims; escalate within Carrier Relations Team or the Client Success Team
  • Create team & individual goals and ensure the KPIs are met
  • Manage workflow coverage needs
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested

You've Got This?

  • Bachelor's or Associate's Degree preferred
  • Knowledge of CARMAK Amendment and claim processing rules
  • 13 years' industry experience, LTL preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills communicating with internal and external teams and stakeholders
  • Proven track record of successful problem solving and critical thinking
  • Ability to effectively work independently and collaboratively depending on the nature of the task
  • Ability to solve complex problems across several functional areas
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
