Responsibilities:


  • Provides direct sales support to Treasury Consultants in covered markets. Position is focused on revenue generating activities associated with the sale of Treasury Products and Services.

Activities may include:
preparing proposals and pricing analysis, assist with RFPs and presentations, coordinate credit approvals and exception pricing, coordinate data input for tracking pipeline and activity

  • Establishes and maintains relationships with Treasury Consultants and Bankers that are directly supported.
  • Coverage on product sales related inquiries from Treasury Sales, Bankers, other internal partners and clients
  • Joins Treasury Consultant on in person sales calls or conference calls when appropriate.

Qualifications:


  • 58 years commercial banking or relevant experience

Education:


  • Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience
This job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed. Other job-related duties may be assigned as required.

The position is for Trade Sales Specialist being a direct report to our Trade Sales Head in Mexico.

It will be focused on origination of new businesses with corporate clients, managing a portfolio of trade clients in the CIB Global Subsidiaries Group while developing and monitoring the strategies established to enhance the asset origination and revenues generation of trade in his/her portfolio.

This person will be also responsible of revenues, managing share of wallet analysis and account planning while focusing on bringing new clients to the portfolio and ensuring trade advisory to our clients and that opportunities are well executed accordingly to our risk management policies and trade guidelines ensuring that we have the right solution for each of the specific client needs.

In addition, this position must guarantee the sales best practices and success cases are being implemented across industries and replicated with our clients.

This person will also be responsible for maintenance and follow up a trade credit portfolio, pipeline construction, GDR management, deals follow up from origination to execution, streamline communication among sales people within Trade (meaning asset desk and EAF) and across businesses like TTS Sales and banking partners both local and regional.

Finally, this person will ensure a close communication, connectivity, network with trade sales team both regionally and globally to be aware of new industry trends, successful business cases to be replicated locally and in general understand benchmarks, comparable and best practices.


  • Have extensive knowledge of Trade products, which will allow you to ensure the correct execution in order to successfully meet the expectations of our customers
  • Great and maintain Business relationships to share the best market practices to a specific portfolio of clients.
  • Deepen the commercial relationship regarding the trade portfolio (Trade Finance, GARP, TWCF, Trade Services and EAF) based on structures that solve customer needs and materialize previously identified opportunities.
  • Teamwork with TTS Sales, Product Team and Banking amongst others.
Ensure the all required approvals are obtain in time to execute trade deals under your responsibility


Knowledge/Experience (What knowledge/ experience of the role or the industry does the individual need, e.g.

relevant work experience, industry and/or product knowledge):

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in client management with trade products.
  • Indepth knowledge of Trade Products i.e. Trade Finance, Trade Services and Trade Working Capital. General knowledge of EAF.
  • Strong knowledge of Citi's network and product offering
  • Good understanding of risk and credit management and the internal trade product policies is a plus.
  • Degrees in economics, Business and engineering
  • Kowledge of derivatives and capital markets is a plus;
Spanish and advanced English are must
