    Regulatory Affairs Manager

    Role Purpose:

    Regulatory Affairs Team supports the Compliance Function on a Global level, providing important information to compliance advisors and ensuring the information held in RAPID2 is current and of high standard. The job holder will report to AVP, Regulatory Affairs located in CoE Mexico and will interact with the Onshore RAPid Team on a regular basis to ensure successful attainment of the objectives including enhancing the efficiency of the process.

    Leadership & Teamwork

  • Promotes an environment that supports diversity and reflects the HSBC brand
  • Drives excellence, consistency, and quality across the team.
  • Collaborates and fosters good relations with the Compliance teams.
  • Leads by example, demonstrating core behaviours and values including leadership, teamwork, and advocacy.

    • Customer

  • Maintains a good working environment with key stakeholders including Onshore customers in Compliance.
  • Advises RD management on issues with process, technology, and data quality.
  • Conducts data analysis; identifies trends, themes and gaps; and develops and presents conclusions.
    Assists with identification, tracking, and communication of exceptions. Escalates any significant data quality and process issues to Onshore management

    • Operational Effectiveness & Control

  • Assists in supporting regulatory and business requests.
  • Escalates significant issues through proper Onshore contacts ensuring a proactive identification of process and risk issues.
  • Provides support on technical and process issues to monitor and report on all issues for areas of impact.
  • Provides support to RC in developing and maintaining reports and data to align with US Compliance initiatives.
  • Complete other responsibilities, as assigned.
    • Requirements
  • · Good command of English.
  • Ability to understand and interpret Regulations.
  • Attention to details and good analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and able to build and maintain relationships
  • Utilizes own initiative to resolve issues. Ability to support decisions with sound reasoning.
  • Fast learner - Able to understand new regulations, systems, business concepts etc.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization of tasks
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic and proven quick learning capability
  • Committed to completion of tasks
