    Your Fresh Role:
    We're on the lookout for a Senior Accountant to join the Studios Controllership Home Entertainment accounting team. Reporting to the Executive Director, this Senior Accountant will assist with FCRA and SDS audit inquiries, as well as 3rd party participation reporting managed by the group. Additionally, they will oversee the cash reporting process for all domestic Home Entertainment business units and aid in specialized projects as assigned.

    Your Role Responsibilities:

    OPERATIONS/PROJECT MANAGEMENT (85%)

    • Manage and engage in response to audit requests received from the Corporate participations group by delving into transactional data for sample information.
      • Monitor and update the status of weekly requests from FCRA.
      • Analyze requests to pinpoint the best source for extracting information.
      • Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary support.
      • Directly extract supporting data from SAP.
    • Handle response to audit requests received from the SDS joint venture.
      • Supervise and track the status of requests from SDS.
      • Analyze requests to determine the optimal source for obtaining information.
      • Collaborate with other departments to compile vital support.
      • Directly pull necessary data from SAP.
    • Assist in preparing and submitting monthly, quarterly, and annual Cash Flow reporting related to actuals, forecasts, and budget.
      • Coordinate with internal Home Entertainment business units and departments to consolidate various inputs.
      • Conduct variance analysis on cash results by comparing actual Home Entertainment performance to forecasts.
      • Prepare and submit daily/weekly cash pacing during quarter end.
    • Provide aid in the preparation of 3rd party participation reporting.
      • Generate reports from SAP for 3rd parties.
      • Ensure report consistency with financials.
    • Execute ad-hoc projects and analysis as directed by internal management.

    ANALYTICS (15%)

    • Actively engage in stakeholder meetings to grasp all major projects and planned initiatives.
    • Offer recommendations to enhance process efficiencies and establish/administer procedures and guidelines.
    • Determine the proper channels for coordinating audit requests and understand what constitutes adequate audit backing.
    • Capable of identifying key factors for forecast variance explanations.

    Qualifications & Experiences:

    • Must hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance.
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or related financial area.
    • Demonstrates sound knowledge of accounting principles relevant to the scope of work.
    • Utilizes advanced analytical skills to derive valuable insights from data.
    • Manages intermediate-level processes and projects independently by proactively resolving common challenges.
    • Effectively handles multiple deadline-driven projects.
    • Applies logical methods and business acumen to solve problems.
    • Raises conflicts and concerns to supervisors, offering suggestions to management for resolution.
    • Seeks an understanding of the broader business landscape and utilizes insights as required.
    • Capable of communicating effectively and diplomatically with managers, colleagues at all levels, and external clients.
    • Adapts and excels during periods of change.
    • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

    Desirable but not mandatory experience:

    • Preferably holds a CPA certification.
    • Experience in the media and entertainment sector is a plus.
    • Familiarity with SAP (including Business Warehouse).
