Responsibilities
- Best ideas
- Establish a systematic process to generate ideas including test and learn markets. Insights connected with Regional Consumer & Medical Unmet Needs (Power Claims, Ingredient Trends, Sustainability, Technologies, Best Product Experience)
- Agile innovation engine
- Regional Category Strategy & Portfolio Management. Leverage Scale for Agile innovation, efficient M&A, licensing LATAM process and CMO development & partnering
- Drive best total product E2E experience for local and global brands R&D Regional Lead
- Single point of contact for R&D and Innovation in the region (global or local)
- Support the local R&D colleagues in the region Strategy
- Voice of R&D/Decision maker in StraCo prep / regional stage and gate innovation process
- Ensure robust innovation pipeline for the region (power brands and local pearls)
- Ensure regional needs are taken into consideration when global pipelines are developed across different category innovation teams, including making early pipelines visible to Regional LT to allow for prioritization and scale
- Maximises the number of countries participating in an NPD to create scale Delivery
- Liaises with category heads to ensure timely delivery of innovation projects; creates visibility in case of delays/pipeline gaps and contributes to mitigation plans
- Develop LATAM relevant delivery network from an innovation perspective e.g. local CMOs capable of innovation (in collaboration with PS). Communicator
- Responsible for making relevant Regional information available to RDLT / relevant Global colleagues in a timely fashion
- Responsible for making relevant Global information available to Regional LT / colleagues in a timely fashion
Who you are
- More than 10 years managing R&D / Innovation expertise support to Global / regional teams in Consumer Health.
- MBA or Master in Science / R&D field related areas.
- Strong Leadership and experience in delivering results in an ambiguous and matrixed environmentAn ability and passion for creating a culture of innovation, including development of others
- Demonstrated experience in creating innovation strategy across multiple categories Is curious; willing to test and learn and foster an environment of innovation
- A creative mind who has demonstrated "outofthebox" thinking, with a commercial and entrepreneurial mindset
- Experience in leading ideation programs (internal and in collaboration with 3rd parties)
- An excellent communicator across all organizational levels and can communicate effectively to both technical and nontechnical colleagues
- Knowledge of the complexities of development in the consumer health sector including a strong understanding of product research, regulatory, medical & supply chain.
- Demonstrated ability to work credibly across technical and commercial disciplines and influence colleagues and stakeholders not in direct line of management Science degree plus experience in a STEM or relevant business field
