    Job Title: Software Engineering Manager

    Job Location: Mexicali, Mexico

    Our Division: Trimble Construction

    About the Role:

    Trimble is expanding in Mexico by setting up a world-class software research & development center to accelerate the delivery of products and services worldwide. Become one of the pioneers that helps set the bar of excellence and culture that will shape our future.

    We are currently recruiting for a Software Engineering Manager . In this role you will be responsible for leading a team of local software engineers expanding and maintaining an integration platform that services mid-range to large-scale construction contractors throughout the United States and provides the tools to build and deploy powerful integrations and workflows to connect the various systems used to run a construction business. You will be responsible for driving team effectiveness, promoting communication and collaboration and career development of team members.

    What You Will Do

  • Facilitate communication upward, downwards and across project teams including project status, quality concerns, and technical issues.
  • Manage personnel activities of direct reports (, hires, trains, mentors, identifies development opportunities, appraises, motivates, disciplines, and recommends termination as necessary).
  • Foster a productive environment and advocates for improving the way we work, including processes, tools and standards.
  • Participate with an Agile Development team in all stages of product development.
  • Contribute to the overall success of the Agile team by participating in team estimating meetings, designs, code reviews and pair programming activities.
  • Work effectively as a full-stack developer on .NET Core services hosted in Azure and AKS and a React SPA, with an emphasis on the back-end services and infrastructure.

    • What Skills & Experience You Should Have

  • BS degree in a field directly related to software development
  • 5+ years of relevant technical experience and 1+ year(s) of experience in building and leading strong engineering teams.
  • Proven experience in successfully leading software projects.
  • Experience working and/or supporting B2B SaaS products.
  • Experience managing software teams with short release cycles (weekly releases).
  • Deep hands-on technical expertise in mobile and web-technologies
  • Experience with Microsoft .NET technology stack (, C#, SQL Server, etc.) is highly desirable.
  • Experience with general purpose programming languages like C#, Java or JavaScript is a plus.

    This position will be based in Mexicali, Mexico facility. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.
