This remote position in PBL is responsible for developing and maintaining valid planning schedules from the demand forecast to meet customer requirements while utilizing resources efficiently.

This role will include close co-ordination with suppliers outside of TE operations, globally. It will require close communications with process engineering, production management, purchasing, and supplier quality.

The Materials Planner position will make sure the required capacities are in place at the TE suppliers to support customer requirements within the SAP planning system.

Responsibilities:


  • Manage the purchased materials to meet promised deliveries against customer orders.
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining valid planning schedules from the demand forecast to meet customer requirements, while utilizing resources cost effectively.
  • Lead materials related projects and play a key role in transfer projects and materials changes.
  • Tracking and improvement of past due, inventory, freight and on time delivery metrics.
  • Communicate demand fluctuations to the customer service team for adjustment and review.
  • Monitor machine and tooling vendor capacity for supply improvement.
  • Create material strategies as needed to optimize customer shipments.
  • Determine inventory levels of components and finished goods.
  • Provide input to management regarding long term material issues that could impact financial decisions.
  • Serve as cross functional liaison to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Maintenance of the item master in MRP environment.
  • Meet the customer delivery performance while minimizing the inventory investment.

Qualifications:


  • 3+ years' experience in a Supply Chain related position.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field or proven equivalent required.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Expertise in Computer skills (SAP, MS Excel, Power Point, and Word).
  • Strong analytical and organization skills.
  • Selfmotivated with highlevel of initiative and strong work ethic.
  • Demonstrate ability to resolve conflicts and problems.
  • The ability to adapt to changes in the work environment. Manages competing demands. Able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events. Changes approach or method to best fit the situation.
