In this role, you can expect to:

  • Provide technical architecture design and guidance for both internal and client facing implementations and development initiatives.
  • Articulate and position the benefits and technical aspects of Fiserv's Card Issuing and Payments solutions to business and technical audiences.
  • Lead architectural discussions and design workshops with customers to determine business, technical and architecture requirements. Translate business strategies into target architectures and implementation timelines.
  • Elaborate solution proposals considering functional/technical aspects and implementation effort/timeframe estimates.
  • Create technical specification, architecture and technical design documents.
  • Provide architecture guidance and collaborate with internal and client teams across multiple countries during the whole implementation lifecycle.
  • Review technical solutions to ensure alignment to the architectural vision and adherence to compliance and enterprise IT standards. Ensure all requirements are addresses in the technical solution.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure teams to define/review the physical architecture of the solutions.
  • Collaborate with build and support teams in analyzing and resolving complex issues.
  • Learn and analyze current industry and technology trends that can provide benefits to our business and clients.
  • Embrace emerging technologies and keep abreast of new frameworks, tools and technologies. Evaluate tools, technologies and perform POCs.
  • Act as a technical advisor and liaison to clients and internal leadership


We are looking for tech-savvy individuals with excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to independently execute work tasks in a rapidly changing and fast-paced environment, and proven experience of building and implementing card payment solutions using VisionPLUS.


Basic Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience with VisionPLUS as an architect, technical SME or senior developer
  • 3+ years of solution architecture experience in the cards and payments industry
  • Expertise in consumer and corporate card payment products (debit, credit, prepaid), card issuing platforms, endtoend payment authorization process and card schemes
  • Deep understanding of the overall VisionPLUS architecture, including common aspects like security, framework, integration between modules, monetary and nonmonetary transactional flows, points/rewards modules and data extraction and reporting
  • Handson experience in architecting and designing enterprise solutions
  • Knowledge of CICS, COBOL and z/OS, including JCL
  • Familiarity with scheduling tools like CA7 and Control-M
  • Knowledgeable about card payments industry standards
  • Deep analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills, strong customer focus and teamwork/collaboration mindset
  • Highly proficient in spoken/written English and Spanish

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Knowledge of payment authorization switches (e.g., Base24) and Fraud prevention solutions (e.g., Falcon Fraud Manager)
  • Knowledge of Kafka or similar messaging and streaming technologies
  • Agile development experience
