    Overview

    The Data & Insight Analyst plays a crucial role in developing cutting-edge analytics and reporting solutions. This position involves establishing and maintaining processes to support Big Data, Analytics, and Reporting applications in an Open Source setting. The Data & Insight Analyst should possess a strong interest in data, collaborating with business stakeholders, and leading innovative solutions. The role involves both independent work and team collaboration with a focus on meeting deadlines within an Agile development framework. This position necessitates fluency in both English and Spanish.

    Responsibilities

    • Design and implement Analytics and Reporting solutions
    • Utilize reporting technologies such as Jasper Soft and Business Objects
    • Proficiency in SQL for databases like Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MySQL
    • Architect, design, and integrate solutions using open-source tools including Hadoop, Pif, Hive, Python, Groovy, etc.
    • Enhance existing reports for improved utility
    • Oversee day-to-day operations of the Insights Delivery Unit for ad-hoc reporting from a Hadoop environment, incorporating automation
    • Build strong relationships with development teams to ensure adherence to standards
    • Drive organizational change and adoption of new practices
    • Identify problems, determine causes, and develop effective solutions
    • Evaluate costs, benefits, and risks of different courses of action to make timely decisions
    • Follow Agile development processes
    • Maintain documentation and repository
    • Participate in brainstorming and contribute to open-source projects
    • Complete assigned responsibilities and special projects

    Qualifications

    • Fluency in English/Spanish (written and verbal)
    • Candidates must be able to commute to the Mexico City office
    • 5+ years of experience in advanced analytics
    • 3+ years as a consultant
    • 3-5 years of experience in a data architecture role
    • Experience in analytics environments
    • Proficiency in scripting languages like Groovy, Python
    • Knowledge of SQL for various databases
    • Experience in Agile environments
    • Quick to learn new data technologies such as Pig, Hive, HBase
    • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts
    • Strong consulting skills for client interactions
    • Effective presentation and communication skills
    • Ability to prioritize, take action, and deliver results
    • Adaptability to changing conditions and unexpected events

    Base compensation ranges between $35,000 to $40,000 per month. Specific offers are based on experience, education, skills, certifications, and business requirements. Cotiviti offers a competitive benefits package for its team members.
