Scope of role

The Thomson Division is a major contributor to the Segment, with approximately 1,500 global associates and $400M in revenue. There are 10 main sites located across the United States, Mexico, the Caribbean, & Europe.

The Supply Chain Sourcing Project Leader will be responsible for generating and implementing material cost out (MCO) projects as well as support value-add-value-engineered (VAVE) initiatives. Other activities include rationalization of the supply base and establish goals for cost, quality, delivery and inventory for suppliers, and supply-base analysis using scorecards for monitoring Regal Rexnord's suppliers' performance to goal.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible to meet implementation deadlines for all sourcing projects pertaining to the Marengo facility
• Works with the appropriate commodity manager and utilize strategic sourcing processes to select suppliers based on the best combination of cost, capability, quality, reliability and delivery.
• Works with cross-functional teams to facilitate seamless transitions with suppliers, ensuring continued supply of materials for production
• Responsible for supplier relationship management.
• Maintain required records such as quotes and price lists, blanket order files, supplier correspondence, and supplier performance data.
• Utilize corporate reporting tool for MCO project tracking and saving analysis
• Learn and Utilize Regal business system (RBS)tools to help drive continuous improvement (including supplier kaizens or audits)
• Support the quality team to resolve issue on FAI samples thru 1st production

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of relevant experience (9 years without Bachelor's) in supply chain management and purchasing activities
• Demonstrated experience in price negotiation, vendor relationship management and project management pertaining to supply chain and sourcing
• Solid understanding of engineering drawings (blueprints) and simple BOM structures
• Strong Excel skills
• Effective oral and written communication in the English language
• US Citizen, Permanent Resident or Green Card holder (for ITAR compliance purposes)
