    General Job Description - Supplier Quality Project Leader

    Schneider Electric has an outstanding opportunity for a motivated individual to assume the role of Supplier Quality Project Leader. In this role you will work with the Supplier Quality Project Leader functions for the NA clusters, including interfacing with the North America and Global Supply quality teams. You will maximize the profitability of Schneider Electric and the professionalism of the Supply Quality organization by managing the relationships with all suppliers. With responsibility for evaluation, qualification, and performance management of the supply base.

    This position will challenge and support the involved entities to improve customer satisfaction and achieve the quality goals of the SQ organization. This role will report to the Supplier quality director for the NAM region. This role will be based out of Mexico (North or Central Mexico) close to our most critical suppliers.

    The Responsibilities will include the integration and coordination of the activities between the various teams to drive process improvement:

    Lead and support the Quality First and Continuous improvement strategy for External Supplier

    o 40% of the time will be spent on the Quality First initiative

    • Lead the robustness initiative from Supplier Quality for the selected offers
    • Attending the workshops and closing all the identified supplier quality deliverables from the workshop
    • Secure the external supplier for the selected offer

    o 50% of the time will be spent leading Continuous Improvement Initiatives for the Region

    • Lead Six Sigma projects for Supplier Quality in North America. The expectation is to run 4 six sigma projects on the most impacting suppliers and impacting categories.
    • Engage in the deployment of Supplier Quality Fundamentals, process audit process
    • § Utilization of the BFO tool for Continuous Improvement

    o 10 % of the time will be used to conduct Supplier Supply Chain Audits (SAM) upon quality action plans from plant requests and

    • Conduct Proactive supplier process audits for impacting suppliers and impacting categories
    • Lead and close out the action plan from the process audits

    Must Pursue Six Sigma Higher certification and EDISON certification

    Qualifications

    Must have a bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience working in a supply chain, quality, manufacturing environment

    • Must be a role model for Schneider Electric leadership values – Shape our Future, Free up Energy, Build the best team, achieve together, and Use your judgement.
    • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certified, or Black belt preferred
    • Strong knowledge of Supply chain processes, manufacturing processes, and problem-solving methodologies preferred
    • Purchasing functional knowledge, SSQM processes financial knowledge.
    • 8+ yrs. engineering or equivalent experience, Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing Experience, auditing experience, knowledge of ISO and TS audits, Six Sigma Black belt or equivalent
    • Bachelor's Degree in, IE, ME, EE, Supply Chain or Logistics, Business Operations, master's degree preferred
