    Billing Specialist for Mexico

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    The role of the Billing Specialist for Mexico involves ensuring accurate and efficient invoicing for all loads in compliance with billing processes. Responsibilities include handling unbilled charges, maintaining and scanning original paperwork, responding to emails, and securing required documentation for invoicing.

    This position requires a motivated individual committed to achieving results.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Ensure accurate and timely customer invoicing following specific customer requirements.
    • Research and invoice loads rejected by Accounts Payable within 90 days.
    • Resolve requests for missing documentation received via email or phone.
    • Address billing incident requests and auto-invoice failures promptly.
    • Maintain custody of original carrier paperwork and provide copies to customers as needed.
    • Respond to emails promptly.
    • Manage expedited customer accounts for timely billing.
    • Achieve departmental goals and tasks based on set metrics.
    • Escalate issues and billing changes to the appropriate Team Lead.
    • Clarify billing requirements with customers and secure any missing carrier documentation.
    • Act as a liaison with the electronic invoice service provider for Mexico.
    • Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills with internal and external customers.
    • Ability to problem-solve, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
    • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail.
    • Ability to work independently or in a team setting.
    • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance.
    • 2-4+ years of billing experience.
    • Preferred experience in the transportation industry.
    • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.
