As the Threat Advisory Engineering Manager in Solutions Engineering, you'll lead a highly technical and hands-on team responsible for deepening our customers' understanding of Cloudflare's Security products and services. This role involves overseeing technical discussions with customers under attack, confidently handling attack mitigation using Cloudflare technology, and collaborating with Product and Engineering teams to analyze threat data. The role also includes creating threat intelligence reports for internal and external consumption.

• Mentorship : Demonstrated success in mentoring team members, fostering their professional growth, and creating a learning environment within the team.
• Decision-Making : Strong decision-making skills with the ability to make timely and sound judgments, considering the impact on the team and the organization.
• Communication : Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and inspire confidence in team members.

• Technical Expertise : Deep knowledge of Cloudflare's Security products and services, coupled with a solid understanding of the broader cybersecurity landscape.
• Operational Excellence : Proven ability to drive operational excellence, optimizing processes and workflows to enhance team efficiency.
• Reviewing Metrics : Proficient in reviewing and analyzing key performance metrics to assess system health and security posture.
• Building Dashboards : Skilled in creating informative and actionable dashboards to visualize complex technical data and support data-driven decision-making.
• Monitoring Performance : Expertise in implementing and overseeing performance monitoring systems to ensure optimal functioning of security products and services.

• Empathy : A people-centric leader with a high degree of empathy, understanding the individual needs and motivations of team members.
• Inclusiveness : A commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive team, ensuring every team member feels valued and included.

• Previous experience in a SOC or NOC, or PEN testing.
• Knowledge of security products like Bot Management, DDoS mitigation, and Web Application Firewalls (WAF).
• Awareness of the Zero Trust security model architecture.
• Experience with JIRA or other support desk tools.
