    Kiewit Mexico is a company dedicated to providing engineering, procurement, and construction management services. Kiewit Mexico offers construction management and engineering services in a variety of markets, including energy, oil, gas, chemicals, terminals, marine works, and mining.

    The ideal Junior Process Engineer has to be able to perform with guidance: Process calculations assigned, drafting mechanical piping and instrument diagrams (P&IDs) and prepare deliverables. The Jr. Process Engineer should be highly technically competent. The purpose of this position is to perform Process Technology engineering work that requires the application of standard engineering techniques and procedures.

    Responsibilities

    • Performs basic calculations under the supervision of a more senior engineer. Seeks out more experienced engineer for guidance and expertise.
    • Has solid foundation of understanding and ability to use technical knowledge.
    • Reviews P&ID's, develops datasheets, performs heat /material balance calculations, performs PSV calculations with guidance.
    • Expand knowledge through training and work experience.
    • Learn codes and standards to complete assignments.
    • Perform non-routine technical assignments of limited scope.
    • Perform tasks according to company procedure industry codes and regulations.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering minimum required.
    • 2-4 year minimum relevant experience in refining, petrochemical and/or LNG industry.
    • Exposure to Aspen HYSYS or other engineering software (ProII, Aspen Plus, Promax, HTRI or Flarenet) nice to have.
    • Microsoft Office software such as Excel, Word, and Powerpoint for engineering assignments
    • English Proficient C2
