Director, Software Engineering
Capital One is looking for a highly experienced Senior Director of Software Engineering to lead, manage, mentor, and develop exceptionally skilled software engineering teams to deliver groundbreaking technologies. The Director must possess the capability to attract top talent in the industry and must also have the technical expertise to ensure the development of innovative, customer-centric solutions following an iterative approach.
As a potential candidate for this role, you should seamlessly transition from deeply engaging with technology alongside engineers to steering high-level, strategic conversations. You are an inherently curious technologist, stay updated on emerging trends, including practical prototyping of new technologies. You are unafraid to challenge existing processes and solutions, demonstrating a sharp focus on the business' value proposition and the correct priorities.
This technology leader will oversee the management of the cloud infrastructure of our vital platform and the underlying ecosystem of services in AWS, including feature management, edge infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and all associated components. This infrastructure caters to one of the largest and most digitally advanced financial institutions, serving millions of customers across various lines of businesses.
You thrive in fast-paced, forward-thinking technological environments and are eager to push boundaries. Your expertise should encompass both emerging and traditional technologies such as: AWS, Java, Python, New Relic, Splunk, Datadog, Swift, Kotlin, among others.
