As a Senior Manager of Product Development, you will apply your extensive knowledge of software architecture to handle software development tasks associated with developing, debugging, or crafting software applications, operating systems, and databases according to the provided design specifications. Build improvements within an existing software architecture and envision future improvements to the architecture. Also, maintain the existing products and handle customer critical issues.

Responsibilities

• Lead a group of product developers across various GoldenGate product domains, working closely with other GoldenGate product development managers
• Assist in the development of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives
• Regularly interact across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure unit objectives are met
• Teamwork across various geographically dispersed product development teams
• Oversight of customer issues during US/Mexico business hours

Desired Skills and Experience

• BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area
• 10 or more years of software engineering or related experience
• Proven leadership and people management skills
• Ability to influence thinking or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations
• Strong interpersonal skills, analytical skills, detailed understanding of product development
• Strong Java and C++ programming skills
• Domain expertise in distributed systems and databases, replication is a plus
• Exposure to multiple operating systems (minimally Linux and Windows)
• Experience managing and leading cross-functional
