Summary of Position:
The role of Sales Engineer is to oversee existing sales while expanding and growing the business within the assigned territory.
Additionally, Sales Engineer acts as a trusted technical consultant and provides forecasting of the EAD (estimated arrival dates) for upcoming jobs.
Marketed services include laser welding, polishing and mold assembly, mold modifications, maintenance and repairs.Essential Responsibilities:
Solicits and develops strong consultative relationships with customers throughout the region in order to sell combined servicesRespond to customer RFQ'sActively manage ALL quote opportunities in SAP Provide customers with technical support and solutions (tooling, molded parts, etc...)
Manage the details of upcoming jobs to ensure that tools are ready to move through the process when they arrive at the facilityAccurate and timely dissemination of informationSupports accurate forecasting Knowledge and Skills:
Strong interpersonal skills, highly confident with the ability to interact with all levels and personalitiesResponsible, with an owner's mentality Ability to manage several priorities with tool shops, Tier 1 suppliers, moldersProblem solving abilitiesAbility to influence through effective communications (presentations, written and verbal communications)
Proficient in MS Office products, internet navigationStrong attention to detailKnowledge of injection molding, tool/mold shops, auto industry preferredIntermediate English, spoken and writtenAbility to travel as needed Educational Requirements/Experience:
Bachelor's degree with major in business, sales/marketing or related field required with 3+ years in a technical sales/sales engineer role (automotive tool/mold shop and/or injection molding strongly preferred).
