    Amentum is supporting the Department of Justice (DOJ) in providing specialized training, advisory and mentoring services to host nations under the Criminal Division's International Criminal Investigative Training and Assistance Program (ICITAP).

    ICITAP is a cornerstone of America's global strategy for combating transnational crime, terrorism, countering trafficking in persons, establishing rule of law and enhancing human rights in developing countries. Amentum is the contract service provider to the DOJ ICITAP and Overseas Prosecutorial Development, Assistance and Training (OPDAT) programs.

    Please Note: This is an Independent Contractor position with Amentum, it should not be considered an employment relationship with Amentum.

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    Amentum is currently seeking a qualified candidate to serve as a Regional Program Coordinator for the EMPoWER Western Hemisphere Program. This position will be responsible for assisting with administrative and logistics support, training preparation and delivery, on-going partner country support, and the organization and execution of trainings and regional workshops, along with developing a strategy for participant engagements and program sustainability in support of the EMPoWER program and the Women's Leadership Advisor in the Western Hemisphere Region.

    JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide administrative support to the EMPoWER HQ team and other staff members.
  • Contribute to the completion of required evaluation requests
  • Assist in the preparation and dissemination of notifications and information for host governments
  • Assist in the development and coordination of program activities
  • Assist in the development of a strategic plan and engagement plan for program participants
  • Provide Spanish and English translation during verbal exchanges as needed
  • Provide Spanish and English translation for written documents as needed
  • Coordinate the activity of other contract employees to ensure that various deadlines are met and program goals are achieved
  • Design and prepare training courses in Spanish and English
  • Instruct various training courses in Spanish and English if and when applicable
  • Analyze and monitor the effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of procurement processes
  • Schedule meetings and appointments and make necessary arrangements
  • Assist in the preparation and control of records, statistics, and reports regarding operations, personnel changes, etc.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders regarding administrative issues related to purchasing, personnel, facilities and operations.
  • Prepare powerpoint presentations in both Spanish and English
  • Present Power Point presentations to conference and other attendees in Spanish and English
  • Serve as liaison between ICITAP and Host Government and Post for providing vital Leahy Vetting information
  • Prepare and present budget proposals as applicable
  • Track and provide intermittent financial updates on program funds to the ICITAP Program Officer
  • Assist the ICITAP Program Officer with operational and administrative activities that ultimately contribute to achieving the ICITAP Program's goals and objectives
  • Create Training Requests and Itineraries for upcoming trainings, study tours, and conferences
  • Provide draft technical guidance letters to the Program Officer for procurement requests
  • Track and provide procurement regulations and restrictions (such as tax exemption regulations, and custom duties and VATs) to ICITAP
  • Serve as a liaison between ICITAP HQ and program participants by providing weekly updates on program activities, and new developments on indicators, successes and challenges
  • Travel to regional program locations (approximately once a month) to manage program activities

    • REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in international relations, law enforcement, justice studies, gender studies, public policy or related field; preferred Master's degree;
  • Written and verbal fluency in English and Spanish
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in project management, international development, or security sector capacity building programming
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal guidance
  • Clearable: Position is advertised for Non-US Citizens and does not require US Government Clearance.

    • DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience working with DOJ/ICITAP
  • Familiarity with USG processes to include interagency agreements
  • Proficiency in Portuguese
