    Reporting to the Chief Engineer - Process (CEP) working within the Regional Business Unit. The Lead Engineer – Process (LEP) is the principal point of contact to the plants for all technical items related to process development.

    The role of a Lead Engineer – Process is:

  • Owns plant relationship at Engineering level and provides high level of representation
  • Support the CEProcess in team development and KPI achievement.
  • Lead Engineering PMS Work Packages and Customer Engineering Milestones
  • Core team member of APQP supporting the Program Manager, Account Manager, to ensure the delivery of customer and internal deliverables
  • Leading the preparation and presentation of manufacturing portion in the customer technical reviews and future business opportunities business awards.
  • Lead technical discussions with customers and liaise with the UAD as necessary to ensure all technical requirements are understood and delivered. Report on technical progress and process issues, through written technical reports.
  • Ensures process design meets SOW requirements.
  • Review customer warranty issues and ensure these are addressed in future technical solutions.
  • Support IP, Warranty, and VAVE activity
  • Responsible for internal and customer change management execution
  • Launch support as required at the customer and internal plants
  • Continuously supporting Team Development along with CEProcess

    • Team Management

  • Coordinate work package tasks and ensure their accomplishment
  • Coordinate the plant launch teams of the plants involved in the program.
  • Coordinate activities and tasks fulfilment of the Program Manufacturing team:
  • Plant Launch Team leaders (if only 1 plant he cumulates this role)
  • Pilot Plant (for ISPG)
  • PC & L (Supply Chain) Engineer
  • Program Logistics
  • Including support functions if necessary (PSE, QSE, HSE...).
  • Act as the interface between the Program Core team and the plant(s).
  • In agreement with the program manager, technical interface with the customer and the suppliers
  • Product interface (manufacturability)
  • Ensure design to manufacturing through concurrent engineering activities with product engineers
  • Ensure manufacturing feasibility
  • Manage the Prototype Build and Delivery and Analysis.
  • Implement all changes related to production system and/or related to the product (as of Engineering Change Management).
  • Ensures engineering bill of materials (MBOM) meets QCD targets throughout process development and launch process.
  • MVP Responsible

    • Production System Development

  • Study , develop in detail, validate, release and set-up the complete Production System of the program: equipment and tool interfaces, layout, process flow charts, material and information flow diagram in accordance with the Group standards and program objectives.
  • Ensure the achievement of Process, Equipment, PFMEA, Investment list and Industrial Timing.

    • Production launch

  • Manage the Production Part Approval Process (including Mass Production Trial and Extended Mass Production Trial).
  • Manage the production launch.
  • Support the Production Ramp-up.

    • Targets and reporting

  • During the acquisition phase, propose the industrial objectives of the program (cycle times, flexibility...)
  • Achieve all manufacturing program objectives (Quality ,Costs, Delivery, Performance) such as Process and Machine Capabilities, MPM, PPM and Scrap rate, CAPEX, Amortized costs, Added value, Logistics costs, Gross Margin.
  • Report on a monthly base the progress of his activity (3PR level 2).
  • Report all manufacturing risks analysis and their associated action plans and opportunities.
  • Apply program Management System and Engineering Change Management and Faurecia tools and
  • standards.
  • Ensure that manufacturing milestones are passed successfully and on time.

    • Qualifications:

    The ideal candidate will have/be:

  • Master's degree or BS degree in engineering or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in the automotive industry
  • Cross functional Management skills
  • Experience in customer and plant relationship
  • Leadership and communication skills.
  • Experience in engineering project management
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and strong teamwork sense
  • Must have global mindset
