    JOB DESCRIPTION

    The AME is responsible to complete all the advance manufacturing deliverables for a program to develop and launch the manufacturing process.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Development of manufacturing processes by completing detailed engineering analysis of:Design for assembly and ManufacturingLogistics and contingency planningProcess flowProcess labor planning & line balanceMaterial flow and line side presentationPlant layoutErgonomic analysisProcess failure mode and effect analysisSpecific support activities for other programs in the regionPrepare and present the program revisions with the SDT
  • Production equipment & tooling specification, purchase and acceptance
  • Validation of manufacturing process to meet labor targets, production output and quality standards

    • Qualification:

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Industrial or Mechanical preferred)
  • Bi-Lingual English/Spanish
  • Minimum 5 years of industry experience - automotive interiors experience preferred
  • Experience with seating products desired
  • PFMEA development
  • MODAPTS or equivalent training/certification
  • Direct and indirect labor analysis and planning
  • Equipment specification, ordering, run-off, installation and qualification
  • Capital equipment budget planning and tracking
  • Strong computer skills with ability to quickly learn new software/applications
  • Ability to draw two dimensional layouts in CAD software
  • Analytical problem solving
  • Design for assembly and manufacturing
  • Project management - plan development and execution
  • Communication
  • Ability to work with the customer, program and commercial team
